It Won't Stop Raining

It's been a downpour for more than 24 hours. Two more have died (total 4) in our state since this report was issued:

Two people died, roads were closed and hundreds of people fled from their homes Tuesday as torrential rains caused widespread flooding in Missouri.

Heavy rain began falling Monday and just kept coming. Forecasters were calling for up to 5 inches of additional rain in parts of the state, some of which had already seen 7 inches by midday.

...

Near Springfield, a Missouri Department of Transportation worker was killed Tuesday morning as he helped out in a flooded area. SEMA said the worker, identified as 21-year-old Joshua Slatten of Springfield, was setting up barriers along U.S. 65 when his dump truck was struck by a semi.

Creeks have crested their banks, fields and yards look like lakes, storm drains are full and spouting like fountains, roads are flooded.
