Indigo Bunting

One of my favorite spring/summer residents in the Ozarks. Any nature lover is appreciative of any glimpse of an indigo. I see them frequently on the trails I walk. They usually flit about quickly, making them difficult to photograph. This shot, shaded as it is, doesn't do justice to this guy's gorgeous irridescent hues. I shot this July 27.
